Now with Santonio Holmes gone, Dennis Dixon says he’s going to change his uniform number from 2 to number 10:
Steelers backup quarterback Dennis Dixon said he will change his uniform number from No. 2 to No. 10, the number worn by Santonio Holmes since the 2006 season. It is also the number Dixon wore in college at Oregon. “I’ve been 10 all my life,” Dixon said. “Nothing against Santonio, I just feel comfortable in that number. [Number] 2 was good, but I’d like to go back to my old ways.

I did not know about this until the Detroit game last Saturday & I was p****d to say the least. The Steelers should NOT have allowed it, period. Holmes is gone, which is bad enough (and should NOT be the case anyway), but to kicked him afterword is more than sad. BTW, IMO, once a player has a # they should have to STICK to that # the whole time until while on that team UNTIL they are gone & if they come back like Larry if they want an available # let them have it. MAYBE, the Steelers let him do it so now anybody that likes Dixon & already had the 2 jersey/t-shirt other will have to another one with the 10 on it & boom the NFL/Steelers & their vendors get more $. DO NOT FALL FOR IT Dixon ppl.
I will just add this to my list of things the Steelers organization has done in the last few yrs that have p****d me off…too many more added to the list (like getting letting Porter go & getting rid of Joey to Wash) & I am likely to tell them to KMA & switch to Cincy.
What an a*****e! I hope he falls flat on his face sooner rather than later & ends up traded…JUST LIKE Kordell.

As for Dixon: What an a*****e! I hope he falls flat on his face sooner rather than later & ends up traded…JUST LIKE Kordell…BUT can NEVER get the #10 EVER AGAIN.
