It looks like the Steelers and Ben Roethlisberger may have to wait awhile before they find out what type of suspension the QB may have to face. Going against a report from Jason Cole at Yahoo, the Post-Gazette’s Ed Bouchette reports today that the announcement of a possible suspension may not come for at least a few days:
In response to a Yahoo.com report Sunday night that Goodell will announce what disciplinary measures he will take against Roethlisberger today or Tuesday, a Steelers spokesman said the NFL has not advised team officials of any such announcement.
Goodell was on Dan Patrick’s show Monday, and as we reported earlier, said that Ben did violate the league’s conduct policy. It may be a deal where he wants more time to decide just how long the suspension should be.
