At least we have one wide out who knows what’s right in life. Today, Pro Bowl receiver Hines Ward partnered with Gatorade to appear at the G Series Mobile Locker Room as it visited North Hills High School in Pittsburgh, where Hines talked to high school athletes about the importance of sports nutrition. They also became some of the first high school athletes in the country to test the new G Series sports performance products for before, during and after activity. As always, Ward continues to be a great example on and off the field.

Ok.
1st of all, I enjoy the game and enjoy watching good players play.
I hate it when people claim that any athlete is or should be a role model. People that get their values and morals from athletes are like people who get their values and morals from TV -> idiots.
That being said, the story with Ward is a nice change of pace from the constant bombardment of news regarding athletes doing stuff wrong. Ward is the leading receiver in Steelers history and has never had any brushes with the law that would jeopardize his playing career so he may not be a bad example for athletes to follow from a professional standpoint.
