The Rams on Monday said good-bye to Pittsburgh native QB Marc Bulger. While the Steelers already have Dennis Dixon and Charlie Batch behind starter Ben Roethlisberger, there is chatter that Bulger has an interest in coming to Pittsburgh to help the team out if needed. Of course a lot of how interested the Steelers may be in Bulger is directly connected to the situation with Roethlisberger:
Bears coach Lovie Smith is open to adding a veteran quarterback, and Marc Bulger, who was released Monday by the St. Louis Rams, certainly would fit the bill, but as intriguing as a reunion with offensive coordinator Mike Martz would be, Bulger might be drawn more to the Arizona Cardinals or Pittsburgh Steelers, a league source said. On the Cardinals, Bulger could compete with Matt Leinart to replace Kurt Warner, who retired. On the Steelers, he could be a valuable backup to Ben Roethlisberger, who might face charges related to an alleged sexual assault last month in Georgia, and Bulger is a Pittsburgh native.

Bring Bulger in! He has more in the tank then Batch, and Batch is just a coach in waiting at this point. Besides, Bulger is another native and would fit in right away. I have a feeling Batch would understand
