Yes, the Steelers need someone to throw the ball in case Ben Roethlisberger can’t go this Sunday in Baltimore. Tuesday they will take a look at two guys that could come in and do just that. Those two guys – Cleo Lemon and Jeff Garcia.
With Charlie Batch also out, the team wants to at least get a check on some veteran QB’s while they think about if Dennis Dixon could possibly handle going up against the big bad Ravens. One would think that Garcia, who was in camp with the Raiders and played with the Eagles for a few weeks, would the best guy to come in and be the guy for a week.
Then again, the hope is that Roethlisberger would simply be okay enough to take the field and lead the team out of their two game funk.

I could seriously see, no offense to Big Ben and definitely not opining here as a long-term solution but I could seriously see Garcia coming in, the Steelers adjusting their play calling to match the “new deficit of talent at quarterback,” running the ball more of the time and beating Baltimore. I could see this happening for a couple to a few games until Ben comes back and we start throwing the ball all over the field again. No, not suggesting Garcia is better than Big Ben; just know how these things work. We could with Big Ben a lot more often with a different philosophy.

I really hope so because without Polamalu we arent doing as good as usual. And morale is not going to be the best when Big Ben, The leader of the offense, and Troy Polamalu, The best SS in the league, is out. They better make some big moves soon cause that loss to chiefs was inexcusable.
