All right, it’s halftime, and from where I sit, this has not been a real pretty effort on the Steelers side as the teams sit tied at 7. Here are some various halftime thoughts as we sit and watch Jeff Fisher talk about how great he is:
* Ben Roethlisberger cost them 3 points when he took a sack that lost him and the team 18 yards in the first quarter. I know that he has to hold the ball since the line once again is having blocking issues, but you CAN’T cost your team points, and he did.
* Ben’s halftime numbers – 15-for-21 for 180 yards with one TD and two picks. The team can’t run, they have 12 yards on 10 carries. Roethlisberger may have to win this game himself.
* The Troy Polamalu knee injury is a blow the team cannot overcome for now. He’s made a great play on third down vs Chris Johnson in the first quarter, and then a great one-handed pick. Let’s hope he can return and be okay.
* Tennessee has 44 yards on 11 carries, the defense is allowing some holes to open up, and Chis Johnson’s 32 yard run was their biggest carry of the half.
* Someone has to step up and make a play on Tennessee TE Bo Scaife.
