Center Justin Hartwig Breaks a Toe

The Steelers have suffered an early injury, as according to website NFL From the Sidelines, center Justin Hartwig broke a toe when he dropped something on his foot recently. The injury is not considered to be something that will stop Hartwig from being ready to go opening night vs the Titans. The injury gives more chances to Hartwig’s two backups – Darnell Stapleton and Penn State rookie A.Q. Shipley.

Justin Hartwig broken toe open the door for Urbik to start at right guard this year: If Hartwig toe keeps him out for a good part of training camp, or the Steelers just don’t want to rush him back. Stapleton will man that position; UNLESS Shipley is ready for prime time. Funny how things happen: Bledsoe and maddox goes down and Bardy and Ben steps in and stars is born. I just hope that Urbik is ready.
