They’re the teams that Steelers fans have grown to hate over the years. When you see these teams on the schedule, your blood starts to boil just a little bit more, and you start counting the days till those games. Why of course it’s the rivals of the Steelers that we’re talking about, and here we go with the teams top 10 all-time rivals. Today we start with number 8:
8. Jacksonville Jaguars – A team sometimes known as “Pittsburgh South,” the Jaguars have beaten the Steelers in 12 of the 21 games the teams have played in. The first win may have been the toughest to swallow, as an expansion Jaguars team stunned the Steelers 20-16 in Jacksonville early in the 2005 season. The rivalry has been on from that point, and while the two don’t play in the same division anymore, they seem to matchup often. Jacksonville beat the Steelers twice in 2007, including a wild 31-29 win in an AFC Wild Card game in Pittsburgh. The Steelers came back with a gutsy Sunday night win in 2008, but overall have lost to the Jags in four of the last five matchups.

The Jags are definitely a thorn in the Steeler’s side. They are so much like us – physical, great defense, minimal mistakes.
I love this series. Great Blog. Keep up the good work.
