They’re the teams that Steelers fans have grown to hate over the years. When you see these teams on the schedule, your blood starts to boil just a little bit more, and you start counting the days till those games. Why of course it’s the rivals of the Steelers that we’re talking about, and here we go with the teams top 10 all-time rivals. Today we start with number 9:
9. Buffalo Bills – The Steelers had to make sure to put a halt to O.J. Simpson during some of the matchups early meetings, then as the series progressed, they had to find a way to stop Jim Kelly and the “K-gun” offense. They have met 22 times in 38 seasons, with three playoff games, the Steelers winning two of the three. The most bitter loss was a 1992 playoff loss at home, the first playoff game for then rookie head coach Bill Cowher. The Steelers got some revenge the following season with a 23-0 Monday Night win, and have a streak going since that game in which they have topped the Bills in 7 of the last 8 contests.
