For the first time in a long time, the Steelers are going to 100 percent when the take the field Sunday vs the Chargers. Monday as the team practiced a couple of starters that have had some injury woes were able to go – LB James Harrison, who didn’t play vs Cleveland, and free safety Ryan Clark were both on the field.
Tuesday in his weekly press conference, Mike Tomlin said that the team is healthy and ready to go. I didn’t talk about injuries because, quite frankly, we have a clean bill of health. That is the first time in a long time,” Tomlin said. “Ryan (Clark) is doing to be fine; Carey Davis is going to be fine; James Farrior and James Harrison are going to be fine; Ben is going to be fine. Those are the guys that had circumstances that the off-week worked in our favor.”
Of course on the injury front the same cannot be said for the Chargers, as leading running back LaDainian Tomlinson’s status is totally up in the air due to the groin injury he suffered two weeks ago. Tomlin thinks the former MVP will play. “We expect him to play. I am not familiar with him personally, but guys like him find a way,” Tomlin said. “I think that if we prepare for anything other than to see him, it wouldn’t be very smart.”
