Pittsburgh Sportscaster Bill DiFabio dressed up as Santa today and invaded the weekly press conference of head coach Mike Tomlin. The coach played along for a little bit, but by the end was annoyed with DiFabio for his poor humor. The video above shows the coach smiling and playing along before he really got annoyed.

I want to opine that Tomlin would be making a mistake in falling back on his teams 11-4 “laurels.” That record is largely because of their defense and Ben pulling out games late which cannot be continually relied upon. This offense is beyond pathetic because even pathetic offenses have identities. This offense is HOLLOW!!!! It’s amorphous! It’s a jelly fish out of water and incapable of stinging anymore. Willie Parker is good but leaves too many yards on the field with his poor running back vision. The offensive line is horrendous and has no talent. The coordinator is inept and stubborn. Against Tennessee he ran a right side bunch formation at the goal line and asked the number three tight end…NUMBER THREE tight end to block an all-pro linebacker!!!!!!!!!!!! Sorry, I am studying sports management at the masters level and I would never draw something like that up. When is the last time they threw to Miller down there? Keep him in and block yes but ALL THE TIME?!? Why is parker even in there at the goal line and not Russell? But we peons know nothing and should shut-up and never question the 11 and 4 geniuses like Tomlin and his staff because they are 11 and 4 by the way. Arians is stubborn like Reid and he SEEMS more concerned about running his plays than the RIGHT ones. I realize we miss the opportunity that Mendenhall potentially provides but when he went down, Cedric Benson was available and we have sparingly used Russell! I don’t get it…Like drafting a bust like Sweed and not having the foresight to see that Nate Washington actually has potential (but then that would involve considering resigning Nate) so why draft him in lieu of TRENCH people?! Or why go after Bruce Davis in lieu of TRENCH people. I am happy with 11 and 4 but I am concerned with the long-term outlook of this offense and the seeming stubbornness of Tomlin to stick with this pass-happy horseshit!
