Ravens Fans Really Don’t Like Steeler Fans

With all the talk this week about the game on the field, WJZ TV in Baltimore is reporting on the hate between the two teams fans off the field. Here is a quick story from their website about how the Steelers fans won’t get a warm welcome this Sunday at M&T Bank Stadium.

The Baltimore Ravens and the Pittsburgh Steelers have met 24 times in history. But it is this weekends’ game which may determine which club goes into the playoffs.

Mike Schuh reports Baltimore fans wish the visitors only the worst.

If you thought the fans were nutty crazy about that Sunday night national tv Ravens versus the Redskins game, well prepare yourself.

There’s no other way to put it, Ravens fans just hate, hate, hate the Steelers and anyone who looks like them.

“The Steelers, where do they rate? The toilet. I hate them,” said Beth Conway, Ravens’ fan.

Now, mind you, the Steelers lead the series. Which, of course makes it even worse.

Callers in to talk radio have plenty of reasons to hate the Steelers.

“Anything to do with black and yellow, I despise,” said one listener.

“I get sick of hearing about the defense,” said another, noting that the media seems to love the Steelers.

Don’t let that hate go to waste. Make sure to watch the game, either live or on TV. This kind of emotional venting only comes every so often.

The game starts at 4 p.m. Sunday.
