While Ben Roethlisberger is probable for the game against the Colts tomorrow, another player that is 50/50 for the game is outside linebacker LaMarr Woodley. He suffered a calf injury before the Giants game two weeks ago. “I really can’t say if it’s worse or if it’s better. I have two days. I guess it’ll be a game-time decision,” Woodley said.
“You have to be smart. I don’t want to miss a game, but I don’t want to hurt it worse and have to miss four or five games later on. The game’s not going to stop because I’m not in there.” If Woodley can’t go, Lawrence Timmons is expected to fill in, although Keyaron Fox got the bulk of the repetitions in practice yesterday.

I’m beginning to wonder if Roethlisberger is GOOD enough of an NFL quarterback to have the coaches rely on him to make plays!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I say trade Ben for a 1st round pick, draft a shut down left tackle and give leftwich a three year deal until we figure out our qb situation….This qb play is absurd and unacceptable.

If Tomlin does not bench big Ben, the Steelers will not make the playoffs. He holds the ball too long, his arm is weaker, he does not scramble like he used to, and he’s got about as many interceptions as fumbles. It is sickening. Leftwich showed what he could do, is experienced, is healthy, and — most importantly, — gets rid of the ball quickly and has a better arm than Ben. If Ben is healthy, that is a different story. But right now, this team does not make the playoffs if the sickness and madness continues.
