Steeler running back Najeh Davenport has been found not guilty of three counts stemming from an October incident with the mother of his five year old son. Davenport had been charged with domestic violence, child endangerment and unlawful restraint in connection with the incident where he was allged to have struck Anita Peterson. The Steeler running back spent an hour and a half on the witness stand in his own defense yesterday saying that Peterson jumped through the open window of his SUV and dove on top of their five year old son. Davenport could have been released by the Steelers if convicted. He is the third member of the team to face legal troubles this off season connected to domestic abuse charges.
