VP of Officiating Admits that the Jags Held on Critical 4th Down Play

HOLD!!!

I don’t want to cry over spilled milk, but I knew from the moment it happened, the Jags were holding on the play.  Today’s Pittsburgh Post Gazette is reporting that Mike Pereira, the NFL’s head of officiating, admitted that the Jags were holding on the key 4th and two play that sprung David Garrad for a first down and an eventual field goal to top the Steelers 31-29 in the wild card game.

The play clearly was holding in my eyes from the word go, but of course, in the heat of the moment the refs decided to swallow their whistles, and it cost the Steelers what should have been a home playoff win.  Oh well, as stated above, it’s now about three months later, the Steelers will move on, and it’s time to put the game behind me the rest of the Steelers fans.  It would be nice though to get a call go the Steelers way once in awhile.
