I’m almost certain that Pittsburgh Steelers owner Dan Rooney will not like this incident one bit; according to the Pittsburgh Press-Gazette, Steelers linebacker James Harrison is facing an assault charge. In an affidavit provided by local police, Harrison and his girlfriend were arguing at her home at 1 PM on Saturday when she locked herself in her room; also included in the police report, Harrison broke down the door and while his gorlfriend tried to call 911, Harrison took her cellphone and broke it.
The woman informed police that Harrison hit her with an open hand on her face, leaving “red marks” on her cheek; as a result, Harrison was arrested and arraigned on chrges of simple assault and criminal mischief, based on the allegations. As I said earlier, Rooney will not like this one bit. Heck, I wouldn’t be surprised if depending on the end result of this legal matter, Harrison may or may not be without a job. And perhaps a suspension by NFL commissioner Roger Goodell, as well. I guess Harrison didn’t learn early on in life that women are not to be struck in that fashion.

Well, isnt this a great start to the off-season. We all know the Steelers do NOT take this news well, and I doubt Harrison is with them this season after this. Bam Morris led in rushing after Super Bowl XXX, got caught with pot, got cut by the Steelers. I like what Harrison brought to the field, but there is no room in this organization or in football for this behaviour. Hell, if Greg Lloyd shoved a gun in his kids mouth while he was still a Steeler, I would call for his head too!. I really dont care if he gets cut. Yes, he had a good season but he is now officially a PUNK.
