The Steelers have already said they don’t want to go to FieldTurf in 2008, but that might be a hotly contested debate as Gene Upshaw, executive director of the NFL Players Association, has stepped in and said otherwise. Upshaw claims that many Steelers players told the NFLPA talked to would prefer a different surface at Heinz Field.
