Head coach Mike Tomlin is heading into the off-season wanting more than the Black and Gold accomplished this year. Tomlin met with reporters on Thursday to talk about the 2007 season and said they fell short of their goals, which was a World Championship. Tomlin said while there were positives to the season, he said the Steelers need better play along the offensive and defensive lines as well as better coverage on kickoffs and punts. Tomlin said he expects to bring all of his coaches back “at this time”. He added that they have to coach better in all areas. Tomlin also said the Steelers will have some interest in free agents but the priority will be to sign the players on the roster that they are interested in keeping.
