Steelers went through a full practice yesterday on the South Side as they begin preparations for Sunday night’s game against the Cincinnati Bengals. Six players did not take part in yesterday’s workout; wideout Santonio Holmes (ankle), safety Troy Polamalu (knee), offensive tackle Marvel Smith (back), fullback Dan Kreider (knee), cornerback Bryant McFadden (ankle) and wideout Hines Ward did not practice yesterday. Ward will be ok for the game. Kreider and McFadden are expected to be ready as well. The status of Holmes, Polamalu and Smith is uncertain for the game. Reports out of Cincinnati say wideout T.J. Houshmandzadeh (back) and cornerback Deltha O’Neal (knee) did not practice and offensive tackle Willie Anderson’s (knee) practice was limited.
