Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger is heading back to college this weekend. Miami University of Ohio is retiring Big Ben’s jersey number as part of the school’s homecoming weekend. Roethlisberger becomes the first player in 34 years to have his number retired, joining John Pont and Bob Hitchens as the only players in the school’s history to receive such an honor. Roethlisberger will be honored at a halftime ceremony. Roethlisberger’s former coach, Terry Hoeppner, will also be honored. Hoeppner coached at the school from 1999 to 2004 and passed away this past June from a brain tumor.
