The Steelers are continuing preparations for Sunday’s game against the San Francisco 49ers at Heinz Field with practice today on the South Side. Linebacker James Harrison returned to practice on Wednesday after being carted of the field this past Sunday with a neck sprain. Harrison says he expects to start against San Francisco. Kendall Simmons did not practice on Wednesday with a shoulder injury. Running Back Najeh Davenport sat out as well with a hamstring injury and rookie Tight End Matt Spaeth didn’t practice because of a thigh bruise. All are expected to play on Sunday. The Steelers made a roster move on Wednesday, releasing linebacker Marquis Cooper and signing linebacker Andre Frazier off waivers from Cincinnati. Frazier made the team as a rookie in 2005 and broke his leg in the AFC Championship Game in Denver.
