A full pads workout greeted the Steelers on the first full day of workouts at their Saint Vincent College training camp. The morning session included the backs-on-backers drill in which running backs try to block linebackers. The best hit of the morning came from rookie Lamarr Woodley, who ran over veteran running back Najeh Davenport. The afternoon session, though, was a different story as the Steelers were sent scrambling inside Saint Vincent’s gym due to an afternoon thunderstorm. The Steelers spent that session walking through their sets much to the disappointment of fans who came to see the first workout that was open to the public. It is two more sessions today for the Steelers, with the afternoon workout open to fans.
